How to install?
Wipe the trunk door sill clean and make sure the surface is clean and dry, Tear off the adhesive backing film, grasp the location where it needs to be pasted, stick the protection strip flat on its surface.

This looks like a factory molding after being installed and it has helped the bumper from getting scratches on the paint. What I like is it covers more of the bumper then a factory piece.

I wanted to replace the trunk bumper guard on my used 2016 Forester. I bought this guard for $35.99 with a $5.00 coupon that was available. The bumper guard comes with adhesive tape strips pre-installed and a roll of extra double sided tape too.Shipping was fast at a couple of days with Prime.I really like how the bumper guard breathed new life into my car. The old one was the factory Subaru guard which was sun damaged and very very faded.The only small downside of this aftermarket bumper guard is it’s slightly smaller in terms of width compared to the OEM bumper guard, but that doesn’t bother me.Installation is easy, but it did take me awhile to remove the old OEM cover’s adhesive before installing this one. All you need to do to install it is clean the area and then remove the red backing off the pre-applied adhesive strips and place it properly onto your back bumper.For $35.99 it was a great buy. I really like how much better my back bumper looks now and the price was reasonable

Pretty good quality, but lacking in instructions. The extra roll of mounting tape was a good bonus. Word of advice to those who never installed plastic cladding with pressure sensitive mounting tape. Make double sure your location is laid out before your pull the protective tape. In this case, using painters tape on the Car and Bumper Guard. Then marking the center line of each on the tape. Clean the area of dirt and oils. I used isopropyl alcohol to be certain. Dry fit first, if happy with layout, pull the protection tape, and carefully place the piece in accordance to your marks. Press, hold and rub where the tape will contact the bumper. So far so good, my cover is still in place. 🙂
