I have a 54 inch blade for my tractor and wanted to cut my plowing time down in the winter so I ordered these extensions. They were really easy to install (had them on in 5 minutes). The one complaint that I have and it’s not a deal breaker is the only bolts holding it on are at the top of the blade. The way it mounts to the lower part of the blade does not stop it from separating from the blade. I use a rubber cutting edge (don’t like scratching my concrete driveway) on my blade so I overlapped it onto the extensions to hold the bottom of the extensions to the blade.

They come with metal blades and designed to fit the OEM blade with the original plow. However, I bought a plastic replacement blade that is longer than the OEM metal blade and the wings are short (see photo). So I bought high density plastic and made my own replacement blades. I could not find replacement for the plow wings in the event I went back to the OEM blade and needed to replace the wing blades. Do the wing blades not wear out???Otherwise happy with the extra 18″, makes a big difference plowing the driveway.

I wasn’t sure these would fit my John Deere HD 60” plow but they do, very nicely. I suggest using a clamp to hold them in place, bang them all the way closed, flush against your plow with a rubber mallet, then mark where to drill the holes with a Sharpie. I used a step type drill bit to make the holes in the top of my plow. I opted for a poly edge so I bought four 1-1/2” long carriage bolts to use instead of the shorter ones that come with the wings. This added a foot and a half to my plow. I’m very pleased with this kit.

Well built and fits well I installed on a 54″blade expanded to 72″ blade the bottom of the expansion blade has a tube and it slides into the millboard part of the 54″blade it slides back and forth leaving a gap to solve this issue I ordered the 72″ wear bar removed the 54″ and 9″ wear bars and installed the 72″ one piece wear bar problem solved and I think it looks great with the one piece.Doug

One storm this year and both wings were bent. If you live somewhere that gets a lot of snow I’d think twice before investing in these.
