This vacuum breaker is very similar to the original Dometic. It appears to be a decent ABS plastic unit, and it works as advertised except for one thing. The pressure to the spray hose is not great. This is the second vacuum breaker I have purchased on Amazon, this one being more expensive. The previous breaker had NO spray pressure and practically came apart in my hand. I have yet to decide if I will return it. Which at that point I will have to break down and the buy the expensive Dometic brand. (Which may not work either!) The hand sprayer is new too.

Fits exactly like the old one, works as expected. Install only takes basic tools and a few minutes.

Thought I would save money instead of buying OEM, but it leaked out of the box out of the top of the valve going to go ahead and buy a factory Demetic vacuum breaker

I installed this valve only to find that it was defective. The internal portion of the valve is supposed to slide upward and seal when water enters the valve from the inlet. However, this part appeared to be jammed and would not slide and therefore did not seal, allowing water to gush out of the top. I recommend testing the function of this product by moving the internal slider manually before installing. If it doesn’t move easily, water will pour out the top. I am returning this product for a replacement. I will test this one before attempting installation.
