This was the second one I ordered. First one from a different company and one of the arms snapped immediately due to thin walls. This one however is what I would call “heavy duty” thick plastic and very sturdy construction.

This part matched up to the OEM specs. Installation was easy, although note: you will want to replace any damaged fuel lines especially the feed to carburetor during this repair. The payback is only one tank of fuel at todays fuel prices!

Product does the job however the threading on the product does not line up with the Polaris Backing nut on my 98 Polaris 300 xplorer

There are many of these fuel shut offs that are very similar in looks and operation unfortunately they are not all the same. This fuel shut off matches up to OEM standards and operations. I went through a couple different brands that wpuld not shut off my fuel to my carburetor on my 98 Polaris Xplorer until I came across this one. Great product and will definitely purchase again for my other Polaris machines when the time comes!

After taking the carburetor apart and rebuilding it, the quad was still leaking fuel. I replaced the petcock valve with this one and, voila! No more leak. So save yourself from the carb rebuild and try this first. Works great.
