This tool is so much better than the scissor tools. Love it. Broke two scissor tools trying to get my line loose from a 2003 Ford Expedition. They would not go deep enough to release the clip. This tool fit well and is a little deeper which release the clip. Not going back. The scissor tools were both good brands, one was a Lisle which is also sold by SNAP-ON. This tool works.

Needed these offset removers to go over the lip on 2010 Ford Fusion transmission line. A little spendy for a simple 1-time / 1 use tool, but can’t do the job without it. Compact size was definitely a plus as well. Does the job easy.

This is the second style of tool I purchased to remove the cooler line on my 2006 F-250 as the first cheaper tool has very little leverage or any practical way to apply force. The inlet I was trying to remove the line from had rusted quite a bit and I had to put an open end wrench around the face of this tool and hammer it in to get through the rust and corrosion to free the line. This tool provided a great surface to apply force to (which the different tool I bought previously didn’t) and was able to free up and fully seat so I could remove the line. Nothing on the tool broke in spite of the significant abuse I gave it, only markings on it were cosmetic.

I bought these with the expectation of potentially having a bad set and needing to return them. But to my delight, they aren’t too shabby!I’ll update after I use them :)UPDATE: Yea not going to cut it….Problem is that the swivel design makes it difficult to get the tangs over the metal line and into the fitting.ALSO the tangs on the tool are way too thin so it does nothing to release the plastic inner tabs that hold the tube into the adapter.I had to use strips of plastic I cut from a used container. You can use a milk jug or sour cream or yogurt container ect…One of my transmission line adapters was rusted such that it was pushing the inner plastic tab inwards so much that nothing worked. Had to remove it with a 13/16 wrench and then head the adapter and pull the line out then replace the adapter.I replaced both with ford OEM parts to prevent any future headaches. The only thing that would really work is to make this two separate pieces, instead of the swivel design, and make the end tangs much, much thicker. The tool would end up being like a pry tool of sorts that forces the inner tabs of the line cooler adapter away from the cooler line. That would be the only useful design, really.

Unable to use this tool for its intended purpose as it doesn’t have the 3 sections cut out of the head to key into clip on the oil line!

Easy to use and fits in perfectly. I purchased these to add to my other line disconnect tolls for those hard to get to places where a regular one will not fit.
