Beginner TIG user here.Done torch & MIG/stick for years.Bought the Arccaptain 200P ACDC a few weeks ago & thought I’d try the pedal.It came with 3 cables, only one of them fit and I had apparently reversed the connections and it didn’t work, but once it was plugged in correctly, all was OK.The plug/cable pinout is NOT symmetrical (wiring pic attached).Works well, BUT, depending on your auto helmet, switching via the pedal between very low & high current can cause flashes as the cheap helmet decides to turn off & on (low current=low light=helmet turns off).Also, I believe one needs to be sitting in a fairly comfortable position to use the pedal, otherwise it’s like standing up trying to control your car’s gas pedal.Might have to grab one of those adjustable swivel stools.My 2 cents anyway!

I added the foot pedal to my arc captain AC/DC tig/stick welder the foot pedal adds to the ease of use and comfort which relate to higher quality finished projects.

Swapped cables around and nothing. Ordered another pedal and i get an arc but no puddle. Hand trigger gets a puddle

The pedal came to me in a functional but not great condition. I disassembled the pedal and removed all sharp edges and excess junk in the travel path. Now it works like a dream! For the price i could not be happier! Great addition to my backyard shop

The inexpensive tig welders don’t come with pedals, and while they are useful with just the button, having control over power during the weld produces significantly better welds because you don’t have to start and stop (or adjust power) as the metal heats up and needs less power.This pedal is heavy duty and feels like it would stand up to significant abuse – exactly what’s needed in a welding shop.Works immediately, easy connect, long cable. No issues.
