Not sure if all replacement fuel caps are similar, but this cap is not even close to reading the correct volume in the tank. It seems to be about half out, so a full tank will show a bit less than a half tank of fuel. Seems to seal nice and tight, just don’t count on it to show you the correct volume of fuel.

While this works. To cap off and seal the tank. It was the wrong length. I had to shorten it to fit. So possibly the wrong listing for the 317’s fuel tank. Made it work… The fuel level due to the poor design of the tank will never properly indicate that the tank is full. When fuel is full it reads 1/3rd full…

These are the same length as the original ones were on my Dixie chopper. They are easy to read and function perfectly. I thought the price was very affordable.
