This timer replaces OEM timers in Schumacher, Century, and other popular chargers. Easily installs with 4mm screws (included) through the charger panel and into the mounting plate on the timer. The screws are covered by the sturdy press-fit skirted knob. Wire terminals use .250″ industry-standard solderless push-on connectors. No AC power is required to run timer. No specialty tools required. When oriented with the “OFF” position at 12 o’clock, timer has a “HOLD” position (constant ON) when rotated counterclockwise to the 11 o’clock position. Otherwise, when rotated clockwise to a set position, it will countdown back to the OFF position at 12 o’clock. A finish bell alerts you to the timer returning to the OFF position. >>>Replaces: Schumacher Timer 0099000094, 0099-000094, 2299001548, 2299-001548 Snap-On Timer 2-14866 Century/Solar Timer 246-457-666, 246-515-666 Goodall Timer 51-245, 51-246, 51-248, 246-337-000, 246-167-000, 246-167-666 >>>Note: Some of these OEM timers were 135 minute duration, which are no longer available. The 120 minute timer is now the standard replacement. A 120 minute timer dial label is included for your convenience. >>>Special Mounting Note: Battery charger manufacturers have used versions of this timer that mounted with either M3 (3mm) or M4 (4mm) screws. This timer uses the larger M4 screws, which are supplied in the kit. If you are replacing a timer that used the smaller M3 screws, it will be necessary to increase the size of the mounting holes in the charger cabinet. You can enlarge the holes with a small drill bit. 4mm, 5/32”, or 3/16” bits will all work. >>>Specifications .250″ Push-on connectors. I have an older model Schumacher automotive battery charger for 6 and 12 volt batteries. It has functioned great for many years but the other day the timer quit working. Went online to Amazon and found the Battery Charger Timer Kit which included the mounting screws and a new label indicating how many minutes the timer would be set to charge the battery, and a new knob. The new screws were a little larger in diameter than the original ones as the instructions said they might be, but I simply enlarged the holes and the new timer switch was a perfect fit. The supplied label was not needed as it corresponded exactly with the original painted markings on the charger case, and the old knob fit the switch as well. Very Pleased with this item bringing my old charger back to life.

I thought the price was a bit high, until I opened this unit. It is a very high quality unit in fit, form, and function. LIGHTYEARS ahead of the POS timer my charger came with- that died years ago and cost me several cooked batteries! It is easy to install- you may have to drill slightly larger mounting holes, but they align perfectly. Switch overlay is large and easily read. IT EVEN HAS A BELL IT RINGS WHEN IT TIMES OUT! Comes with a nice, tight fitting new knob as well- my original one broke on disassembly. I have no doubt this part will outlast me AND the charger. SO- 36 bucks or 250 for a new charger- I WIN!

used it to fix an old craftsman manual charger. the old timer would stick and overcharge batteries. works fine, just seemed expensive for just a small spring wound timer.

This kit was complete, and obviously not from China. The instructions were quite clear, and complete and NOT translated as many are nowadays. This is a slightly higher option than other kits, but it is well worth it. Timer was solid, and well made, the original was all plastic parts and fell apart as I removed it. Drilling out of two rivets was necessary, but it only took a minute. Well played Power Forged people!

Used for my 2002 stand up wheeled Exide 300a battery charger. I think the charger was made by either Century or Schumacher. This timer is way better than the original one. I think the spring broke on the original which was hardly used. The thing about the OE timer switch is that it was mostly made of plastic and very cheap. This new one is much more robust and constructed of metal. I was able to re-use my original knob and didn’t need the label, so you can’t even tell it was replaced. Used the charger many times since I replaced the timer and it works flawlessly.
